The Patty Boland’s ExperienceHistorically, the ByWard Market area has been a focal point for Ottawa’s Irish and French communities, who made up the majority of workers involved in the construction of the Rideau Canal and the timber trade. These workers lived in Lower Town, an area bounded by the Rideau River and Sussex Street, Clarence Street, and Rideau Street – where Patty Boland’s Irish Pub & Eatery is located today. Our pub is built on that foundation of hard work with Irish and local roots. Patty Boland’s is a local pub that prides itself on embracing Ottawa’s hospitality, culture and history. We strive to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience with exceptional service, fresh and delicious food and an authentic atmosphere. Patty Boland’s wants its guests to arrive as strangers and leave as friends. Patty Boland’s has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, from the after work pint and appetizers with co-workers, to dinner with your family, to listening to live music with your buddies, to sharing a bottle of wine with the one you love, to dancing the night away to a DJ with your friends; Patty Boland’s has something for everyone. We know our business is built one guest at a time, so come on in and enjoy.
